An alternative view of Devon
This is one of the postcards in my collection that starts a debate as to what can be classed as boring.
On the face of it, it's quite a pleasant scene, framed by a dry stone wall at the bottom with rolling fields and a warm, summer sky.
The building in question however is Dartmoor Prison - I leave it to the reader to imagine an occasion where you would actually send this card.

Queens Road Roundabout Hertford
Thanks to all my readers from my previous blog who have moved over. ( http://boring-postcards.blogspot.co.uk/ ) - I apologise for any repetition on here but I wanted a platform where I could showcase the pictures better.
So you will see some old classics resurrected - such as this one- but there will be plenty of new material to come!

Russian Coastline
Apparently, Russia is a good source of dull cards and this means that resources from the World's largest country are currently untapped - by me at least.
This is the only one in my collection so far - the reverse is in Russian of course and I can tell that it mentions the sea but I can actually pin down where this is.
It's a great addition to the collection nevertheless.

Broxbourne Civic Hall
My first ever Boring Postcard was purchased from my local newsagent in the late 1980's. I can remember looking and wondering why anyone would send this and as such, I had to have it.
From that point on I was hooked on this strange hobby and I'll be showcasing some more classics from the archives as this blog progresses - enjoy!
